The University Players strive to push the boundaries of our organization, members, and community by creating events and opportunities that challenge  what we take as the truth. By preforming and learning all aspects of theatre, they learn skills that can be utilized in all areas and career fields. We strive to  push the limitations that we set for ourselves. By fostering a expressive environment, we allow each other to be our own inspiration. August Wilson said, 'I think it was the ability of the theater to communicate ideas and extol virtues that drew me to it. And also, I was, and remain, fascinated by the idea of an audience as a community of people who gather willingly to bear witness.'

The University Players is TSU History, and we (current and old members) want to maintain that legacy and constantly shape our community through art.
